Kodak announced the launch of a new ink in march, that will cost 50% less than other inks and will resist more time without fading. According to Kodak, its new ink lasts six times more than conventional inks!
Actually, anything printed with a regular inkjet printer is doomed to last no more than 15 years. According to Kodak, this new ink can resist 100 years without fading.
The new ink will be released in color and black cartridges, both containing the same ammount of ink found on other brands. The suggested retail price is $10 (USD) for the black and $15 (USD) for the color cartridge. Both cartridges can be bought by $22 (USD).
As it sounds, Kodak is trying a new agressive approach to increase its market share in a market leaded by HP and Epson.
