iTunes Connection - Application READY FOR SALE but not available on the App Store

iPhone Application READY FOR SALE

Are you developing iPhone Applications? Have you received an e-mail from Apple telling you that your application was approved and is READY FOR SALE but after hours or days it is still not available on the App Store?

Here is the solution for the problem!

Apple has a problem on its iTunes Connection site (btw, the site sucks!) that prevents some applications appearing live on the App Store after being approved. The solution for that is:

Login on the iTunes Connection site
click on Manage your Applications
for each approved application that is not live, click on Edit Information
choose Pricing, change the Availability Date to today’s date and click on Save Changes.

That’s it. After two hours or so, your application will be live.

iPhone Applications: Solboard (aka Peg Solitaire)

Solboard is another of our iphone applications approved for the AppStore.

Solboard (also known as Peg Solitaire) is a board game for one player involving movement of pegs on a board with holes, invented in the 17th Century.

The game is known simply as Solitaire in the United Kingdom.

Some sets use marbles in a board with indentations.

According to the legend, Solitaire was invented by a French aristocrat in the 17th Century, when incarcerated in the Bastille, explaining the game’s less common name Solo Noble, but no evidence was ever found to support this story.

The first evidence of the game can be traced back to the court of Louis XIV, and the specific date of 1697. Several works of art from that time show peg solitaire boards, demonstrating that the game was highly fashionable.

The standard game fills the entire board with pegs except for the central hole. The objective is, making valid moves, to empty the entire board except for a solitary peg in the central hole.

Variations

There are two traditional boards, the English, with 33 positions and the French with 37 positions.

Playing the Game

The orange balls represent the pegs and the white circles shows a hole. You move a peg by jumping it over another peg into a hole - horizontally or vertically - and removing the jumped over peg. You identify the peg you wish to move by tapping on it and then tapping on a hole, to show where to move it. If it’s a successful move, the peg will be moved and the correspondent peg will be removed.

The aim of Solitaire is to be left with as few counters as possible. On the original game, the aim is to end with one peg in the center. To offer more flexibility we decided not to enforce this rule and let you finish the game with the peg(s) in any position(s). We are even offering you several start options with holes in different places.

iPhone Applications: Talking Board (”Ouija Board”)

After a delay of almost two months, Apple finally published on the AppStore that which was our first iPhone Application: Talking Board.

Talking Board is a very simple but interesting iPhone Application, for those who believe in receiving messages from beyond. Talking board is what is called a “Ouija Board”. You make questions and – with the help of a friend – receive the answers from beyond.

Just watch this video on Youtube. It shows how Photoshop Pirate Guide is. On the video you will show the Photoshop Pirate Guide full book (not yet available on the App Store).

On the App Store you can find each one of the seven chapters of the book, sold independently. The whole book is just waiting there for Apple to approve.
