There’s a new online tool called Sketcher (www.sketchr.net) which allows one to draw, paint and create vector elements online.  Sketcher is in its infancy but has a good interface and a good potential for the future. Lets see what the future brings to this application. |

In my other two articles – here and here –, I show some new concepts that are being researched for future computer interfaces. Some of them are even starting to be used as, for example, on the new iPhone (from Apple), to be launched in june.

Kodak announced the launch of a new ink in march, that will cost 50% less than other inks and will resist more time without fading. According to Kodak, its new ink lasts six times more than conventional inks!
Actually, anything printed with a regular inkjet printer is doomed to last no more than 15 years. According to Kodak, this new ink can resist 100 years without fading.
The new ink will be released in color and black cartridges, both containing the same ammount of ink found on other brands. The suggested retail price is $10 (USD) for the black and $15 (USD) for the color cartridge. Both cartridges can be bought by $22 (USD).

Mac OS X has a special directory called Movies, located on the main disk, designed to store all the movies of any specific user. The problem is that if one uses that directory to store movies will end with a full disk in no time. On the other hand, programs like Pages, iMovie, iDVD, iTunes and FrontRow, make use of that directory to organize and display movie assets.
Another problem is that not all kind of movies (FLV for example) dropped on Movies directory are recognized by Mac OS X as movies.

Mac OS X is, without any question, the best OS around. The release of Vista — a sad attempt of Microsoft to copy Tiger functionality —, just served to make Mac OS X to bright stronger. The name “Vista” (Virus Infections Spywares Trojans and Adwares - as some jokers pointed around the web) is in fact is a perfect name for a system that is just a faded “view” of Tiger. MS has to realize that what makes Tiger better are not just the eye candies, on the contrary, are the details… You can make a VW Beetle look like a Jaguar. It’s fine unless you have to drive it…
